Haringey Learning Partnership Celebrates Remarkable Success on GCSE Results Day 2023

Haringey Learning Partnership, a network of alternative provision schools in Haringey, is thrilled to announce exceptional achievements by its students in this year's GCSE examinations. With a commitment to nurturing the potential of students facing diverse challenges, HLP are delighted that students have achieved the best ever results this year.

These remarkable outcomes reflect the dedication and perseverance of young people who have overcome obstacles to shine academically. Haringey Learning Partnership prides itself on offering bespoke educational opportunities to students who have transitioned to its schools due to ill health, additional needs, or exclusion from mainstream schools.

One of the standout accomplishments is the attainment of the highest possible grade, a grade 9, in Statistics by Nye, a testament to his unwavering dedication to his studies. Other notable successes include a grade 8 in Italian achieved by Carolina, a grade 7 in Physics secured by James, a grade 7 in Latin earned by Yasmin, a grade 5 in Mandarin achieved by Lin, and a grade 8 in Classical Civilisation accomplished by Yasmin. Haringey Learning Partnership is especially proud of the numerous students who achieved 8 or more GCSEs, with several students achieving an impressive 10 GCSE-equivalent qualifications.

Among the top achievers are Commerce House students, Michael Martins-Barai and Nakailah Crosbourne, both of whom have demonstrated exceptional dedication and ambition. Nakailah, an aspiring lawyer, achieved 9 GCSEs at grade 4 and above, including Maths and English. Michael accomplished 8 GCSEs at grade 4 and above, including Maths and English at grades 5 and 6 respectively, grade 6s in Portuguese and PE, and a grade 7 in Geography. Michael is now setting his sights on a future career as an engineer.

Executive Headteacher Gerry Robinson expressed her heartfelt congratulations, stating, "We are exceptionally proud of all our students, regardless of their grades. Every student has demonstrated exceptional determination, overcoming challenges that are unique to their circumstances. These results are a testament to their hard work and dedication. We must also recognise the unwavering support of families, caregivers, our brilliant staff and the wider community, who have been as ambitious for our young people as they have been for themselves."
